Im sure, unless you live under a rock, you have heard about The Tea Party and their anti-democratic stance. I support their right to do what I do, Im just confused as to why they are doing it? The complain that the Federal Government is out of control and pointing this country down to the road to diaster.
My question is, why arent they point that same finger at their State and Local government which they have more direct influence over? If you have a strong state government in theory you will not have to depend upon the Federal Government because your house will be in order. Also if the US Government is in getting too big, The Tea Party should get their State and Local government to stop accepting its money for highways, schools and other projects in their local communities. Last Point, Healthcare reform is being called another entitlement and they claim that its wrong for America’s to be forced to get coverage. Well I am forced to pay for Social Security and Medicare which may not ever use or be able to use if the Baby Boomers use it all up. Lets get rid of that too.
Democracy works with a majority consent. The Majority of Americans whether it was at the local, State or National level elected their officials for their own reasons. So let the will of the majority be done until such time as that majority decides that the direction of the country should be pointed down a different path.
So lets agree to disagree, stick to the facts when discussing issues and keep it civil. I will also make a point to those who only understand violence. The people that will be helped by Healthcare and Banking reform far out number those that dont like this laws and if the hype is to believed they are also lazy people who live off the land. Well I dare you to try and take food from a hungry animal or its children. I DARE YOU.
