The associated press is reporting that Best Buy will shed over 2000 jobs in a effort to counter weak sales. Im not surprised, I recently purchased a TV from Best Buy and the customer service was horrible and almost non-existence. I had to wait over 20 minutes to receive help getting my TV to the taxi. To make matters worst, no one offered any apology for the delay. While I was there I saw employees talking about another customers problems loudly, instead of walking closer to one another.
So Best Buy, you can eliminate as many jobs as you think will help… but the root cause will be the same, customer service. How about you work on that too?
