Music: Anya Marina | Satellite Heart

nmSatellite Heart, what seems to be the new lead song from the New Moon soundtrack, has now become available if you pre-order the album on iTunes.  Honestly, the track seems to be able to fit onto the Twilight soundtrack too, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  I absolutely loved the Twilight soundtrack and I’m hoping the new addition follows the same format.  A lot of… almost eerie sounding, soft rock type songs.  Very fitting for the movies/books.  It’ll be interesting to see how this album ties in to the movie, but if this track is anything to go by it looks like it’ll do it pretty well.  I’d actually never heard of Anya Marina before now, but I think I might go check out some of her stuff. An eeriness but still beautifully executed. Listen when you read more.

Live: Jennifer Hudson sings Over The Rainbow

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi3OPffE2Ug]

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz,” Netflix hosted a free live concert and movie screening on Tuesday, September 29 in New York’s Central Park.  Jennifer Hudson tackled the classic Over The Rainbow, giving her own spin on it.  Although she sounded great, she kinda (as usual) oversang it.  Jen I love you but the screaming isn’t always necessary.  What did you think?

Movie: Paranormal Activity

After a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban “starter” tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.
